In Word 2016 for Mac, on the Design tab, click Themes, and then choose a theme. In Word for Mac 2011, on the Home tab, under Themes, click Themes, and then choose a theme. You can change the page margins in your doc and create custom margins. Letting Word enter a date or time for users is easy, but that can lead to frustration when Word doesn't perform as expected. Word won't reflect that change. You can force the change by right.

Supposing that you want to change the order of day, month and year in the date, or would like to change the format of hour and minute in the time which is displayed on the bottom-right corner in your Windows 10 computer, you can achieve your goal by changing date and time formats. Method 1: Change them in PC settings.

Step 1: Click the lower-left Start button, type date and time in the Start Menu's search box, and tap Change the date and time format in the results.

Step 2: In the Change date and time formats settings, select the date format and the time format you like.

Tips:

1. In date formats, the meaning of the notifications is as follows.

d, dd=day; dddd=day of week; M=month; y=year.

2. In time formats, the meaning of the notifications is as below.

h=hour; m=minute; s=second; tt=AM or PM; h/H=12/24 hours; hh, mm, ss=display leading zero; h, m, s=do not display leading zero.

Method 2: Chang date and time formats in Control Panel.

Step 1: Tap the Start button, enter date and time in the search box, and click Date and Time.

Step 2: Select Change date and time in the Date and Time window.

Step 3: Tap Change calendar settings to continue.

Step 4: In the Customize Format window, choose new date format.

Step 5: Click Time, select new time format and tap OK.

Tip: You can also close the Customize Format window, and then change date and time formats at one time in the Region window, as shown in the following picture.

Where MyDate is the name of your date field (so it could be different in your case)

If there is anything after the field name, just delete that.

Now add the date format switch after field name in the following fashion:

MERGEFIELD MyDate @ “d MMMM yyyy”

Click OK and the format of your field should get changed to the one whose switch you’ve just used.

Besides these, you can create any of your desired codes by rearranging these switches (d, M and y). For example, you can write @ “MMM d yyyy” to format date like Aug 5 2013.

Remember: “m” is used for minutes in a date field. For month, it is capital m (M) that you should use.
