HiI am running a imac 27 inch with lion and bootcamp.On the windowsside of the bootcamp i run windows 7 ultimate 32bit.I did not have any problems getting thewd my passport 320 gb fat32 formatdetected on my 100% pc with no mac os on it.Then i tried the same on my bootcamp andit failed detecting the external harddrive said unknown decice.What to do to fix this?I want winodws to see theexternal 320 gb 3.0 usb my passport just as good as mypc can see it.I have no problems in my imacit detects your external hd peffectlywould thunderbolt / firewire enabled external harddrives be better? Can you bootcamp a my passport for mac external hard drive.

I'm editing a music video and want to print some scenes onto VHS to give it that old-school look. Recording on the VCR is simple, it has RCA inputs. What I'm not sure of is how to route the video out of the Mac. I have something similar to this device:

Basically its a USB in and RCA out. I'm hoping I can just route it in reverse, so the output of the mac can be converted to analog RCA signal and then recorded onto VHS (and then back again.)
Anyone ever done this before? Any help would be appreciated.
